Devotions #54

August 2, 2023

Our lives should reflect Christ’s example, and the blueprint is in God’s Word. So, let’s commit to not just hearing it, but remembering it and living it. Read James 1:22-25 today and decide to apply it in your life.

1 Samuel 7:12
Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the Lord helped us.
The year ahead will be strange and new and our God has promised he will never leave us or forsake us.
As the words of this writer says my eyes are on God.
Lord we acknowledge you
we don’t know what to do
But our eyes are on you

we’ve never been this way
Each step is strange and new
But our eyes are on you

Lord we acknowledge you
we don’t know what to do
But our eyes are on you

we’ve never been this way
Each step is strange and new
But our eyes are on you

Teach us your ways and we will follow
Show us your will, and we will obey
You’ve always brought us through
Our eyes are still on you
You’ve always brought us through
Our eyes are still on you

So teach us your ways and we will follow
Speak to us now we will obey
You’ve always brought us through
So our eyes are still on you.
You’ve always brought us through
So our eyes are still on you.

Thanking God for another day! My prayer is from Ephesians 1:17-18 – Asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ to give you spiritual wisdom and revelation so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.
