SAVE THE DATE - Service of Reflection: Coming Together in Hope 4
A Service of Reflection for the Black communities affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic.
The service will be held at the New Testament Assembly, Tooting, London SW17 7BU
On the Saturday 23rd March, 2024.
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The National Day of Reflection is a day to support the millions of people who were bereaved during the pandemic and to reflect on the lives of the people who have died. To mark this occasion we are holding this second special service to support and uplift Black communities (African and Caribbean diaspora here in the UK) affected by Covid-19, highlighting the disproportionate effect of the pandemic. Whatever background you are from you are welcome because we know that the impact on Black communities affects our nation as a whole.

This time the service will be hosted by Pastor Andrew Wignall at New Testament Assembly Tooting. It will feature music by Godalming Choir. This is an intergenerational event, and there is an emphasis on the inclusion of children and young people in recognition that they are also still grieving many losses. The evening will feature activities to support people to reflect, including a roll call of names of those who have died during the period of the pandemic.

For many, the deep trauma of losing loved ones during Covid is still very real. We need to come together, in our communities and as a nation, to acknowledge the lasting pain and create a legacy of compassion.

Alongside the Wesleyan Holiness Church the service is supported by key partners –

• New Testament Assembly

• Majonzi Fund

• The Ubele Initiative

• One People Commission - Evangelical Alliance

• Living Loss

• Churches Together in England

• Churches Together in Britain & Ireland

• JWB Virtual Ministry Assistance

• National Church Leaders Forum

• Marie Curie’s National Day of Reflection team

All are welcome - whatever your background, but this will be a Christian service with a specific focus on Black communities that have been disproportionately affected.

Wesleyan Church 2023 Convention ' A Turning Point'
This mini-documentary is a celebration of the history of the Wesleyan Holiness Church in the UK. The WHC in 2023 celebrates 65 years of ministry in the UK, highlighting the early pioneers of the Windrush generation who came to Britain from the Caribbean and planted and started churches. This mini-documentary highlights the inception, challenges, and future hopes of the church as it moves forward.

Wesleyan Holiness Church 65th Anniversary Mini Documentary
On Sunday 23rd April 2023 churches around the British Isles District, each celebrated the 65th anniversary of the church - this is the service from the 'mother church', WHC Moseley. Coordinated by Dee Cain and hosted by Rev. Dorrett Lemon this memorable event features music and stories with tears and laughter in equal measure. Featuring the MCing skills of Tim Pemberton, sermon by Rev. Keithley Charles, a surprise appearance from Rev. Audrey Thompson, and much, much more... Captured here by KWT Media, this service gives a great summary of the rich history of the Wesleyan Holiness movement in England.
