Devotions #28
Can we pray for humility. That we demonstrate and show our young people what it means to show humility, how we need to be humble so that God will use them in a way that they did not think would be possible. There’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance but humility is what ensures confidence takes precedence over arrogance.
Matthew 23:12
“For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”
Devotions #27
Encouraging us all to remember the invitation of Jesus to rest in him. The Message Bible puts it like this “… come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me – watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly. Matthew 11:28-30.
Devotions #26
I thank God for each of you. You are loved and appreciated for who you are.
I encourage you to remain with Christ – being with him is the best way to spend our life and time – this relationship is eternal and only what’s done for Christ will last.
Please continue to pray for the bereaved and those who are unwell.
Psalms 106:1 Praise the Lord! Give thanks to the Lord for he is good. His love endures forever!
Devotions #25
Encouraging us all to remember that this is a new day. Each Day God gives us opportunities to love him, love people and make Christ known.
Under the direction of the Holy Spirit, let’s be attentive to the ways he leads us. The word of God says: For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. Isaiah 43:19
How will you make Christ known this week?
Devotions #24
I hope you know and understand that you are appreciated and valued for who you are not just what you do.
So I encourage you “to be completely humble and gentle, be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:2-3).
Devotions #23
I was reminded again that whatever the Lord purposes or establishes it will happen. If it’s God’s will it will come to pass if not then it was not part of God’s plan. As it says in Job 42:1-2
“Then Job replied to the Lord: “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.”
Devotions #22
Let’s remind ourselves and each other 2 Timothy 1:7. For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of Power and of Love and a Sound mind. Amen!
Devotions #21
God continues to be faithful to us. Praise the Lord! So I encourage you from Mark 12:30-31 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbour as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these. God bless you as you continue to be Christ’s minister and reach out to others.
I encourage you to Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. 1 Chronicles 16:11
Devotions #20
I pray that each of us will experience the Father of all compassion and the God of all comfort. (2 Corinthians 1:3)
