Let us be reminded that God is not only with us today, but he was with us yesterday and he will be with us tomorrow. God’s faithfulness is not dependent on what we do but simply because of who God is.
Psalms 100:5 states, ‘For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations’. It’s amazing that God continues to walk with us, so let that be your source of strength snd comfort that God’s love and faithfulness to us, is simply because of who God is.

Brothers and Sisters, as we celebrate Father’s Day remembering fathers, grandfathers, spiritual fathers, those fathers that have gone ahead and paved the way for us. Can I encourage you with these words from Joshua 24:15, ‘Now if you are unwilling to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served in the region beyond the River or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” As we rightly strive as churches to reach our local communities, let’s also prioritise the men – young, middle and old in our own families.

I am always challenged that at this most sacred and sensitive time Jesus did not exclude Judas who was plotting to betray him. Luke 22:21-23 (NRSV) 21 ‘…the one who betrays me is with me, and his hand is on the table. 22 For the Son of Man is going as it has been determined, but woe to that one by whom he is betrayed!” 23 Then they began to ask one another, which one of them it could be who would do this.’ I am left wondering who in our churches and communities often feel excluded, and who should we be welcoming at our communion tables? I pray as you go through each day you remember that the strength of heaven is with you and as you reach out to others you do so in that strength.
1 John 14:10 NLT This is real love not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

Encouraging you to remember that God does not call the equipped – he equips the called. So as we go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19), Lets continue to trust God with all our hearts (Proverbs 3:5) because God says to us “Fear not for I am with you be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand (Isaiah 41.10).
